About Alicia

I am a passionate Geography tutor specializing in Grade 11–12 Geography, with a strong commitment to helping learners fully understand geographical concepts and apply them to real-life situations. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically, but also to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills through Geography.

My teaching approach is based on constructivist and inquiry-based learning, where learners actively engage with concepts, ask questions, and connect classroom knowledge to real-world challenges. This teaching style encourages students to think independently, analyze situations beyond the textbook, and develop practical solutions using geographical knowledge. Since Geography is part of everyday life, I incorporate real-world examples and discussions to make lessons engaging, relevant, and meaningful.

I also use a learner-centered teaching approach, which focuses on understanding each learner’s strengths and helping them build confidence in the subject. To ensure consistent progress and understanding, I provide weekly tests and practice activities to assess comprehension and reinforce learning.

I studied Geography throughout high school up to Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level, and I am currently pursuing a university degree in Water Management, where Geography continues to play a major role in my studies. This academic background allows me to bring both theoretical knowledge and practical insight into my tutoring sessions.

I am dedicated to creating a supportive learning environment where learners feel motivated, challenged, and inspired to achieve their full potential in Geography.
