Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets out what is and is not acceptable behaviour on Tutors Hub Namibia. It applies to all users — students, tutors, and visitors.

✅ Acceptable Use

You may use Tutors Hub Namibia to:

  • Search for and connect with qualified tutors for genuine educational purposes.
  • Create and maintain an honest, accurate tutor profile to attract students.
  • Book tutoring sessions for subjects you are genuinely studying.
  • Leave honest, constructive reviews based on real tutoring experiences.
  • Contact tutors via WhatsApp to arrange or discuss sessions.
  • Report problems, violations, or safety concerns to the platform team.

❌ Prohibited Activities

The following are strictly prohibited on the Platform. Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent banning.

Fraud and Misrepresentation

  • Creating a tutor profile with false qualifications, fake credentials, or a photo of another person.
  • Impersonating any person or organisation.
  • Submitting fake reviews or ratings for any tutor, including your own profile.
  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a ban or restriction.
  • Falsely claiming to be a student in order to access tutor information.

Academic Dishonesty

  • Offering to complete assignments, essays, reports, or examinations for students.
  • Requesting that a tutor complete your work on your behalf.
  • Sharing or distributing examination papers, model answers, or leaked assessment content.
  • Advertising or seeking "contract cheating" services through any part of the Platform.

Harassment and Abuse

  • Sending threatening, abusive, offensive, or harassing messages to any user.
  • Using discriminatory language related to race, gender, religion, disability, age, sexual orientation, or nationality.
  • Repeatedly contacting a user after they have asked you to stop.
  • Posting or sharing defamatory content about any individual or organisation.

Exploitation of Minors

  • Any inappropriate communication with users who are under 18 years of age.
  • Conducting in-person sessions with minors in private or unsupervised settings.
  • Sharing or soliciting inappropriate content involving minors.
  • Any conduct that could be considered grooming or exploitation of a minor.
  • This category is zero tolerance. Violations will be reported immediately to law enforcement.

Spam and Unsolicited Contact

  • Sending unsolicited promotional messages to other users.
  • Using the Platform to advertise unrelated products or services.
  • Automating interaction with the Platform through bots or scripts.
  • Sending bulk booking requests with no genuine intent to book sessions.

Security and Technical Abuse

  • Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any user account or admin area.
  • Uploading files containing malware, viruses, or harmful code.
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Platform.
  • Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities without reporting them to us.
  • Interfering with the normal operation of the Platform.

Reporting Violations

If you witness behaviour that violates this policy, please report it to us immediately:

  • For safeguarding emergencies involving minors, contact local law enforcement first, then notify us.

We take all reports seriously and will investigate within 48 hours for non-emergency reports.

Consequences of Violations

Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, consequences may include:

Warning

A formal warning issued to your account

Suspension

Temporary restriction of your account access

Permanent Ban

Permanent removal from the platform and all associated data

Serious violations (especially those involving minors or criminal activity) will be reported to the relevant authorities without prior notice to the user.
